e agressive approach and not attempt to conceal your presence. Their are advantages and disadvantages to both Ideas. Remaining hidden may give you the advantage and element of surprise. But it would allow people to come close or inside your house. Having your forces in the open may prevent someone from bothering you all together but on the other hand it lets people know that you are prepared and that you may have something they want like weapons, Ammo, food and anything of value.
One thing that you can do for a "passive" approach is to make your house or dwelling look like it has already been picked clean and nothing of value remains. By spray painting black above your doors and windows and then boarding them up it will make it look like a fire has been in the house and that everything of value is probably destroyed. This may work at a passing glance but under close scrutiny it may not be that effective. But it may be just one of many counter measures that you may take to increase your chance of survival!
